God’s Plan For Humanity
 

What is God’s plan for me?

God created you to have a deep, loving, intimate personal relationship with Him.  He wants you to walk with Him through this life and beyond into eternal life.  He created you to love and be loved by Him and by other human beings.

 

Why isn’t this happening?

People have lost their belief and faith in God -- some by ignorance, others willfully.  The Bible says that our separation from God is because we choose to sin – disobedience to God’s laws, rebellion against God, and wanting to satisfy our own selfish desires.  The Bible says that ALL have sinned and come short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23).  The punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23).  Everyone is guilty.

 

What is God’s remedy?

Rather than condemn us to death as payment for our sin, God sent his son Jesus to die for those who repent of their sin.  Jesus, who was without sin, paid what we could not pay while we were still ignorant of our predicament and enemies of Him because He loves us (Romans 5:8, John 3:16).

 

What must I do to have this eternal relationship with God?

Believe in the work of the Lord Jesus and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).  Ask God for forgiveness.  Ask Him to be lord of your life.

 

What happens if I don’t choose to be with God?

The Bible is clear that we will all live forever.  Those who do not live with God in paradise will live forever in eternal damnation (John 5:29, 1 Thess 1:8).  God doesn't want this for you; he wants you to turn from your sins and cry out to Him! (2 Peter 3:9)

Learn about God by reading the Bible and become involved with a Bible-believing local church where you can learn from other believers and journey together.  This is just the beginning of a fulfilling life with God!
